AeroCat riders pick up victories

ROCK ISLAND, Illinois - Two members of the AeroCat Cycling Team picked up victories Memorial Day weekend at races in Illinois and Iowa.
Juan Pablo Dotti continued his streak of dominance for AeroCat, the high-performance bicycle manufacturer located in Portland, earning his fifth straight win May 28 in the Pro division in the Burlington Road Race. Andrew Crater took the top spot Monday in the Quad Cities Criterium, and also finished ninth Sunday in the Lemon Cities Criterium.
Emile Abraham added a pair of top-10 efforts, taking fourh in the Quad Cities race and sixth in Friday's Snake Alley Criterium.
Waters takes loss
SALA BAGANZA, Italy - Mitch Waters suffered a loss Thursday for the Sala Baganza Baseball Club despite striking out 10 batters.
The 2002 Jay County High School graduate gave up 13 hits and four runs as Sala Baganza fell 4-0 to Anzio.
Elks win pair
Portland Elks rolled to a 13-4 victory Wednesday over Portland Kiwanis in Portland Junior League Pee Wee Reese baseball.
In the only other league game this season, Elks defeated Portland Lions 13-10.
Mitchell Bruggeman paced Wednesday's victory with a double and three runs. Andy Kohler and Cody Davis each had a double and two runs.
Bowen Runyon led Kiwanis with a double and a run.
Bruggeman also had two hits and three runs in his team's season-opening win. Thomas Hahn scored twice.
