PAYROLL MEETING

The East Central Indiana Payroll Association membership meeting will be held at the Delaware Country Club, on May 15. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., with a lunch and program following at noon. BANK GETS AWARDS

First Bank of Berne president Charles Isch announced this week that the bank received of two MAXI Awards, during the awards luncheon at the Indiana Bankers Association 2003 Mega Conference in Indianapolis. The MAXI Awards program recognizes excellence in bank marketing throughout the state of Indiana. Entries are judged on design, development and implementation, as well as a written statement of objectives and how they were met.

First Bank of Berne was honored in two categories, Annual Report and Outdoor Display. The 2002 annual report and a billboard promoting Home Equity Loans displayed in Bluffton, Decatur and Portland were chosen as winning entries.

GROUNDBREAKING

Adams County Memorial Hospital will officially break ground on its new facility project on May 22, at 2 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the construction site located off Mercer Avenue across from the Decatur Church of God.

The new facility will continue the tradition of excellence display by the hospital for the past 80 years. The new state-of-the-art 156,000 facility will have the most current technology available, expanded services and increased privacy and comfort for patients.

ECIHRA MEETING

The May membership meeting of the East Central Indiana Human Resource Association will feature a presentation titled “Emergency Preparedness at Home and Work” by Bill Gosnell, the director of the Delaware County Emergency Management Agency.

The meeting will be May 14 at the Delaware Country Club, located at 510 S. Country Club Road in Muncie. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon and the program at 12:30 p.m.

The cost of the meeting is $13 payable to ECIHRA at the door.
