Arnold and Martha Hilgeford

Arnold and Martha Hilgeford are marking their 60th wedding anniversary this week.
On May 8, 1954, Arnold Hilgeford married Martha Muhlenkamp at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, east of Bryant. Residents of Jay County for 49 years, the couple now resides at 123 E. Floral Ave., Portland.
Arnold has retired from farming and now works for Barnett’s Auto Parts. Martha is a retired housewife.
They are the parents of eight children: Deb Barnett, Linda Huelskamp, and Donna Chenoweth, all of Portland; Betty Strawn, Celina, Ohio; John Hilgeford, Casella, Ohio; Peg Starr, Anderson; the late Daniel Hilgeford; and the late Randy Hilgeford.
They have 33 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
The couple celebrated with their family on April 27 at a gathering at Amishville U.S.A., near Geneva.[[In-content Ad]]
