Art series set for Ambassador Park

The Fort Recovery Friends of the Arts are gearing up for the free summer concert series to be held at Ambassador Park.

Listed are the date, group name and description. All concert times are at 8 p.m. Ohio time.

• Sunday, June 8 — Grand Lake Soundwaves, male harmonizing.

• Sunday, June 15 — Van Dells, live from Las Vegas, a rock-n-roll revue.

• Sunday, June 29 — Spittin’ Image, male singing and comedy duo.

• Sunday, July 6 — Lloyd Wood, comedy and country music.

• Sunday, July 13 — Amanda Murray and the Callahans, country and light pop act.

• Sunday, July 20 — Grandmas and Grandpas and Mike Hemmelgarn, family fun and laughs.

• Sunday, July 27 — Sharon Bertke, local country artist.

• Sunday, Aug. 3 — Community talent night.

• Sunday, Aug. 10 — Prengers, local country music duo.

• Sunday, Aug. 17 — Party time, polka music.

CONNER PRAIRIE

The White River Folk Festival will be held at Conner Prairie beginning Friday, June 6 and continuing until Sunday, June 8.

Over 25 performing artists will be in attendance along with food vendors, folk arts, activities for children and hands-on activities. Those in attendance may bring their own instruments for workshops on guitars, dulcimer, banjo, fiddle and others along with pick and jam sessions led by various artists.
