Arts Place offering classes (05/16/07)
Taking Note
Arts Place in Portland will offer summer music classes, beginning June 11 and continuing through July 27. Lessons are available in band instruments, strings, piano, voice and guitar.
Also A Musical Petting Zoo will be held to help children try different instruments and choose the right one for them. The zoo will be week-long group sessions for children and teens.

Library program
An after school special will be held Friday from 2:45 to 4 p.m. at Jay County Public Library for kindergarten through third grade students.
A snack will be provided, a story shared and a craft or two will be completed.

Nature Day
The Limberlost Historic Site in Geneva will celebrate Nature Day on Saturday with a wild bird release by Wild life Resqu Haus, Inc., scheduled for 9:30 a.m. The release is planned at Rainbow Bottoms. Call the Limberlost to make sure the location doesn't change.
A wild bird program is planned at 10:30 a.m. at the Wetland Education Center near the Limberlost. At noon will be a presentation on freshwater mussels as an indicator of good water quality.
Parents without Partners
The National Parents Without Partners will have an informative meeting on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the American Legion on North Walnut Street in Muncie. For more information, call (260) 726-2457.[[In-content Ad]]
