Arts Place to offer 'First Steps'
Taking Note
Arts Place in Portland is currently accepting registrations for First Steps in Music, a parent-child music class that blends movement and musicianship to help children develop their brains and musical ability. The class will be taught by LaVetha Loucks.
Classes will begin June 12 and continue each Wednesday through July 17.
Classes for children 10 to 23 months will meet from 9 to 9:35 a.m.; for children 2 to 3 years old will meet from 10 to 10:35 a.m.; for children 4 to 5 years old will meet from 11 to 11:35 a.m.

Convention
The 28th Annual Home Educator’s Convention will be held May 31 and June 1 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
