Bantas celebrate 70th
Anniversary
Don and Beulah Banta, rural Portland, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Saturday.
They were married on Aug. 20, 1941, at Beulah’s parents home in Greensburg, Kan.
Don is a veteran of the United States Navy and worked at ANR Pipeline in Portland and Williams Brothers Engineering Co. and Beulah worked at Wiler’s Department Store.
They attend West Walnut Church of Christ in Portland and have enjoyed square dancing for more tha 60 years.
The couple are the parents of Ron Banta and Randi Banta, both of Greensburg, Kan.; Candi Decker, Schulenburg, Texas; Suzanne Smith, Paris, Tenn.; and Rod Banta, deceased. They have 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
They celebrated with family at Bearcreek Farms.
