Batt will compete at Classic

Local roundup

Todd Batt’s effort at the state tournament earned him a chance to represent Indiana this weekend, and four of his teammates have earned academic awards.
Batt, a South Adams High School senior, will compete in the Indiana/Illinois All-Star Classic Duals wrestling tournament on Sunday in Dekalb, Ill. The 132-pounder earned his spot on the Indiana team thanks to his runner-up finish at the IHSAA Wrestling State Finals.
Three of Batt’s classmates, Charlie Hirschy, Jordan Landers and Isaac Werst were selected this week to the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association Senior Academic All-State team. Nathan Wynn was named to the IHSWCA Junior Academic All-State team.
