Swiss Days in Berne will have its annual quilt show on Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the South Adams High School in Berne. The cost is $2.00.
Birthday tea
A Gene Stratton Porter Birthday Tea will be held at the Limberlost Cabin in Geneva on Saturday, Aug. 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. The cost is $25 and the money will be used for the music room ceiling restoration fund.

The event is sponsored by The Friends of the Limberlost, a non-profit organization.
Fun in Geneva
The Geneva Arts & Crafts Festival and The Lost Crafts of the Limberlost will be held in Geneva on Saturday, Aug. 20. There will be crafters, china painting, spinning, wood crafting, leather crafting, baskets, old time games, doll making, cookie decorating, food and music.
Breakfast will be served at 6 a.m. in the fire house. Crafters will be on Decatur Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Limberlost Historic Site grounds will have musicians Faire Wynds and The Lost Crafts from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. There will be a food festival tent sponsored by Geneva Chamber, Geneva Proud, Friends of the Library and Friends of The Limberlost. A savory “Taste of Geneva” will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Local talent will be on stage from 6 to 9 p.m. with nostalgia rock and roll sponsored by The Bank of Geneva.
Museum exhibit
A new exhibit will open on Saturday at the Muncie Children’s Museum. Pigtails and Hardhats is an interactive exhibit allowing children to explore the world of construction, introducing them to the people and materials needed to construct a house, the different trades involved in the process and the tools for those trades.
The first 100 children entering the museum will receive a free gift. For more information, call (765) 286-1660 or visit www.munciechildrensmuseum.com.
On Friday, Aug. 12, and Friday, Sept. 2, the museum will host Friends and Family Fun Nights in which the museum will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. free of charge.
Beginning Saturday, Aug. 27, a Rube Goldberg contest machine will be on display. Rube Goldberg was a zany cartoonist known for his outrageous depictions of how to complete a simple task using everyday items.[[In-content Ad]]
