Benefit auction set Friday (11/16/04)

Arts Place will hold its annual Holiday Benefit Auction on Friday, Nov. 19, in Goodrich Hall at Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and bidding starts at 6:30. The event is open to the public and admission is free. There will be refreshments and door prizes.
Individuals and area businesses donate all auction items. Some of them include trips, getaways and mini-vacations, gift items, an American Girl doll, and much more. All proceeds support Arts Place programs and activities.
Also raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win a two night package at French Lick Springs Resort. To donate an item or service, contact Sue Burk at (260) 726-4809 or [email protected]. Auctioneer services are being donated by Loy Realty and Auction
DEAN’S LIST
Area students made the 27th Annual Edition of The National Dean’s List, 2003-04, which is the largest recognition program and publication in the nation honoring high achieving college students.
Making the list from Fort Recovery are Jennifer Fortkamp and Shelby Siefring, who both attend Ball State University, and Jason Wenning from Florida State University. From Geneva are Jessica Beeler from Tri-State University, Leslie Brandt from University of Saint Francis, Michelle Huntley from Ivy Tech State College and David Mere from Indiana University at Bloomington. From Dunkirk are Gayle Heskett, who attends East Central Indiana Vocational Technical College and from Pennville is Daralee Jones of Indiana Business College.
