Benefit total passes $100,000
The current total collected for the Jenae Horn benefit has surpassed $102,000, Jenae Day committee chairman Bob Lyons said Friday.
Horn, 23, has been battling brain cancer since her diagnosis in February.
A graduate of Jay County High School and Purdue University, she has been the focus of an intense community effort to assist in covering her medical expenses.
She is still undergoing treatment.
Jenae Horn Day was held on Sept. 25 at the Jay County Fairgrounds, drawing an estimated 2,000 people to events that included a hog roast and a benefit auction.[[In-content Ad]]
