Birding tour set at Limberlost

Taking Note

A Limberlost Birding Tour will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Limberlost Historic Site Visitor Center in Geneva.
Drive to several Limberlost Nature Preserves to observe resident and migratory birds and visit a heron rookery and other nesting sites.

4-H deadline
The following 4-H items are due by May 1 at the Purdue Extension office.
• Enrollment forms for dairy, poultry, rabbit and swine. Feeder calves, sheep and goats can be brought on their scheduled weigh-in dates.
• Horse and pony online enrollment and online enrollment for pygmy goats to be exhibited at the Indiana State Fair.

• Projects to be added or dropped. If a project isn’t dropped, it will appear as incomplete.
• Pork Quality Assurance (PQA) workshop registrations. Members planning to exhibit swine projects at the Indiana State Fair must be PQA certified.
Pen assignments and Intent to Sell forms may be picked up at the extension office beginning May 1. For more information, call the Purdue Extension Office at (260) 726-4707.
