Blood drive scheduled (05/21/08)
Taking Note
The Hoosier Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross will have a blood drive on Tuesday, May 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Jay Community Center, 115 E. Water St. in Portland.
Donors will receive an American Red Cross umbrella.
Potential donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, be in good general health and present identification.

Union City activities
"Discover Downtown" will be held Friday and Saturday in downtown Union City.
There will be sidewalk sales, free live entertainment, outdoor lunch cafes, activities for kids and more.

The Swiss Days Quilt Show will be held on July 24, 25 and 26 at South Adams High School in Berne. "Quilts by Kids" will be a new category for girls and boys 18 and younger to enter quilts.
