Browns celebrate 50th (02/06/06)

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Brown, 1112 North 1100 West, Dunkirk, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

Dale married Rose Lynn on Feb. 11, 1956, in Cambridge City.

Rose is a homemaker and has been employed at Wal-Mart since 1995. Dale retired from the trucking business after more than 40 years and now does computer repairs.

They are the parents of six children, Mrs. Jeff (Penny) Raver, Marion; Mrs. Mike (Kathy) Lawhorn, Hartford City; Fredrick Brown, Chicago; Mrs. Leroy (Kelli) Billman, Fredericktown, Ohio; Mrs. Evan (Melissa) Burleson, Columbus, Ohio; and Jim Brown, Portland. They also have 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate with a family dinner, hosted by their children.
