Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Brown, Dunkirk, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
Robert married Shelia Slentz on Feb. 24, 1957, at the Baptist Church in Dunkirk.
Shelia had a daycare business in her home for many years and Bob worked at Chevrolet in Muncie before going to work for Barnum-Brown Insurance Company. Both he and Shelia now own and operate Barnum-Brown Insurance in Dunkirk.
They are the parents of Mrs. Larry (Debbie) Brown, Noblesville; Mrs. Stu (Julie) Brown-Kuchel, Cody, Wyo.; and Bob Brown, Zionsville. They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The couple will celebrate by taking a cruise this month and are planning a family trip this summer.[[In-content Ad]]
