Mr. and Mrs. Merle L. Bryan, Muncie, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Dec. 26.[[In-content Ad]]Mr. and Mrs. Merle L. Bryan, Muncie, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.
Merle married Jane E. Bolinger on Dec. 26, 1953, in Bartonia Methodist Church, south of Union City.
Jane is a graduate of Wayne High School in Randolph County and is a homemaker.
Merle is a Korean War veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He was a past prinicipal of Madison High School, Jay County; Spartansburg High School, Randolph County; and retired after 22 years as prinicpal of Monroe Central High School and superintendant of Monroe Central schools.
The couple are members of the Fort Recovery Methodist Church.
They are the parents of Kelly N. (wife Cathy) Bryan, and Lon D. (wife Angie) Bryan. They also have nine grandchildren.
A family dinner will be held in celebration of the occasion.
