Bu Yang and Jason Subler

Bu Yang "Kitty" of Jinan, China, and Jason Eugene Subler, Beijing, China, formerly of Berne, will be wed in an Oct. 7 ceremony at the Hongjialou Cathedral in Jinan with a traditional Chinese reception to follow. A blessing and reception will be held on Oct. 17 at the Grey Goose Golf Club in Decatur.

Kitty is the daughter of Bu Qingshan and Liu Ailing of Jinan. She is a 2000 graduate of Shandong Experimental High School and earned a bachelor's degree in film production from the China University of Communications in 2004. She is a television reporter/producer for Reuters in Beijing.

Jason is the son of Gene and Nancy Subler of Berne. A 1992 graduate of South Adams Jr./Sr. High School, he received a bachelor's degree in economics and German from the University of Notre Dame in 1996 and a master's degree in international peace studies from Notre Dame in 1998.
