Byrges celebrate 50th
Anniversary
Donald and Elizabeth Byrge, 606 Layne Drive, Dunkirk, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at West Jay Community Center.
Donald “Don” married Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Bunch on March 10, 1962, at the home of her oldest brother Leslie with the Rev. David Whitterbury officiating.
Liz retired from St. Gobain in Dunkirk in 1999 and is employed part-time at Help at Home, Muncie, and Don retired from Dependable Transit in Hartford City in 1997. They are active members of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Muncie.
The couple are the parents of three children, Keith Byrge (wife: Lana), Reno, Nev., Dale Byrge (wife: Layna), Dunkirk, and Michael Byrge (wife: Karen), Anderson. They also have nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
