'Camping' set at library (6/25/03)
Taking Note
Preschool and elementary-aged children are invited to attend Animals from the Campground on Monday, June 30, at the Jay County Public Library in the Community Room.
The Indianapolis Zoo Mobile will be making an appearance, unless the weather is unbearably hot. Then an alternative program will be held.
The program is free and open to the public, with doors opening 20 minutes prior to the program. Seating is limited to the first 100 people. All programs start promptly at 11 a.m. and the doors will close at that time to avoid interuptions.
On Thursday, June 26, at 11 a.m., Goin’ Campin will be the theme for Story Time, taking place in the Story Corner in the children’s section of the library. Infants through grade three are invited to attend with a parent or caregiver.
A Camp Craft Special will be held on Saturday, June 28, from 10 a.m. and noon. Preschool and elementary-aged children are invited to attend. All materials will be provided. Children seven-years-old and younger must be accompianied by an adult.
Similar programming will take place through the first two weeks of July. For more information, call the library at (260) 726-7890.
BOTANICAL CONSERVATORY
The Foellinger Friemann Botanical Conservatory is hosting the following programs during the months of June and July:
• An English Garden — June 28-Sept. 21 — Features a private English garden with lush lawns, stone walls, clipped evergreens, roses and other flowers.
• Daylily Show — Saturday, July 12.
• Family Fun Day — Tuesday, July 15.
• Seniors Day — Wednesday, July 16.
• Pot A Plant — Saturday, July 19.
• Jazz Under the Stars — Sunday, July 20.
• Iris Sale — Sunday, July 20.

Susie Woods will conduct a class called Music in Me for toddlers and their caregivers every Tuesday in July from 10-11 a.m. at the Creative Arts Council of Wells County, Inc.
