FORT WAYNE - The Geneva Cardinals allowed just nine hits in 14 innings Tuesday, but settled for a split in a double-header against host La Margarita Blues. Geneva won the opener 6-4 and dropped game two 2-1.
Adam King keyed the Geneva offense with a two-run single in the fifth inning after he scored a run in the fourth. Matt Holycross scattered five hits and one walk in 42/3 innings for the win.
Julian Bostleman had three hits and scored the only Cardinal run in the game-two defeat.
Rauh hits an ace
GENEVA - Deborah Rauh scored a hole-in-one recently at Wabash Valley Golf Club.
