CASA de Portland to celebrate Cinco de Mayo
CASA de Portland invites the public to join members of the organization for a Cinco de Mayo celebration Saturday at the courthouse.
The holiday commemorates the union of Mexican and U.S. soldiers to fight against the French invasion of Mexico in 1862.
The early celebration will feature the Anderson Children's Ballet and refreshments provided by El Camino Real in Portland.
The event will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium at the Jay County Courthouse.
