MUNCIE - Cori Vormohr and Sam Miller each won a pair of events, and the Patriots dominated diving. But the rest of the meet belonged to Muncie Central.
Jay County High School's swim teams lost to the Bearcats Tuesday, the girls by a 109-74 score and the boys 118-67.
Vormohr cruised to her victories, taking the 100-yard butterfly by more than eight seconds in 1-minute 3.67 seconds. She was first by nearly five seconds in the 100 breaststroke at 1:13.6.
The senior also led the winning 200 medley relay team as she joined Mary Hudson, Eme Miller and Michelle Landfair for a time of 2:02.35.
Sam Miller fought off Devon Hill of the Bearcats to take first place in the 100 freestyle by just 11 hundredths of a second in 48.8. He also won the 200 freestyle by more than six seconds with a time of 1:53.36.
Steven Kelly cruised in boys diving, topping the field by nearly 50 points with a score of 207.4. JCHS was uncontested in girls diving with April Acker winning with 173.1 points.[[In-content Ad]]
