CFOs atop list of permits (12/03/05)

Two permits for confined feeding operations topped the list of building permits issued in November by the Jay/Portland Building and Planning Department.

David and Linda Lowe applied for a permit to build a confined feeding operation on Ind. 26, between Ind. 1 and county road 1100 West, Dunkirk. Construction costs were estimated at $500,000.

Also applying for a permit to build a CFO was George Homan. He plans to build the operation at 11701 West 200 North, Dunkirk. Construction costs for this project were estimated at $385,000.

Projects granted permits in November totaled $1,679,445.

ASQ to meet

The American Society for Quality of East Central Indiana, Section 904, will meet Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Spartech Plastics, 1401 E. Memorial Drive, Muncie.

The tour meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m.

ASQ Section 904 earned the 2004-05 Section Management Process Total Quality Award, which is given to sections that have proven commitment and ability to serve local ASQ members.
