Longtime Jay County residents Mr. and Mrs. Max Chenoweth, 1752 North 600 East, Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church hall.
Max married Shelba Louck on Feb. 14, 1960, at Center EUB Church with the Rev. Jerry Crouch officiating.
Shelba is retired from Purdue Cooperative Extension in Portland and Max is retired from semi driving and farming.
They are the parents of Sabra (husband: Jeff) Jackson and Kimbra O' Brien, both of Fort Wayne, Gayle Davenport and Dennis (wife: Donna) Chenoweth, both of Portland. They also have 17 grandchildren.
The church hall is located at 7321 East Ind. 67, Bryant. The couple requests that gifts be omitted.
