UNION CITY — The East Jay Middle School wrestling team came away with a 58-27 victory over host Union City Westside Tuesday.
Scoring wins for the Chiefs were Chandler Stout (85), Zac Somers (90), Nick Leonhard (95), Kyle Davidson (100) and Dyllan Derrickson (105). Also with victories were D.J. Teeple (115), Scott Houston (135), Nick Stephen (145), Jake Boyer (175) and Dylan Hutzler (225).
High Roller awarded
Jay County senior Summer Roush has been named to the inaugural Indiana High School Bowling Advisory Board Academic All-State team.
Roush was one of 18 bowlers honored. Candidates needed at least a 3.5 grade point average and a minimum SAT score of 1500 or ACT score of 22.[[In-content Ad]]
