Larry and Madonna Chittum, 2086 W. 75 South, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the American Legion, 211 W. Walnut St. in Portland.
Larry married Madonna Meinerding on June 30, 1962, at Mary Help of Christians Church in Fort Recovery.
Madonna retired from (Teledyne) Portland Forge after 35 years of service and Larry retired from Jay County R.E.M.C. after 30 years.
They are the parents of Vincent Chittum, New Whiteland, Deborah Jackson (husband: Doug), Portland, and Patrick Chittum (wife: Joy), Wauseon, Ohio. They also have nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
The couple requests that gifts be omitted.
