Christmas event set for Limberlost (12/06/05)

Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva will host “Christmas at the Cabin” on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The cabin will be decorated, holiday folk music will be provided by Nancy Blough and there will be Christmas goodies to snack on. Tom Nevil will use music and puppetry to tell stories.
A holiday craft project will be made in the carriage house and children can participate in an outdoor treasure hunt. There will be visits with Santa or Limber Jim. You may take pictures of your children with Santa.
The cost is $3 for adults, $2 for children 12 and younger and groups of eight or more should register by calling (260) 368-7428.
Story time
Family Story Time will be held Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. at Jay County Public Library for children of all ages. Young children may attend in their pajamas if desired.
Lilly Scholarship
The Lilly Scholarship provides full tuition, up to four years, for a student who graduates in Jay County in 2006 with at least a 3.5 grade point average.
