Cliftons celebrate 50th (07/29/05)

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clifton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.

Dick married LeVara Sodders on July 29, 1955, in Dunkirk.

The couple own and operate Portana Travel, Inc. in Portland and attend Banner Christian Assembly of God, where Dick serves on the Church board and LeVara serves as secretary/treasurer.

Dick retired from Westinghouse Corporation in 1987 after 33 years of service and is a member of the Museum of the Soldier. LeVara is a member of the Portland Vocation Women.

They are the parents of Debbie Shreeve and Richard Clifton II, both of Portland, and Amelita DuCheney, Van Wert, Ohio. They also have 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
