Club holding Oktoberfest (09/28/07)

The German Club at Jay County High School will hold its annual Oktoberfest on Tuesday at the high school. The event will be held in the south hallway from 5 to 7 p.m.

There will be German music and a German culture display. German food, such as bratwurst, potato salad, black forest cake and apple strudel will be for sale.

Holiday mailing

The first mailing deadline to send holiday packages and letters to servicemen and women overseas using parcel post to all Air/Army post office (APO) or Fleet Post Office (FPO) is Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Delivery confirmation is available and will provide customers with the date, zip code and time packages are delivered online at www.usps.com.

A Military Care Kit or "Mill-kit" is available. The kit contains three flat rate boxes, two cube boxes, nine address labels and 16 customs forms. The kits are free and may be ordered by calling (800) 610-8734.
