Club to have Christmas theme

The Cookbook Club will meet Monday at 6:15 p.m. at Jay County Public Library. The theme is Christmas Cookies and Snacks. Bring your favorite cookies or snack and the recipe and table service. Adults and teens are welcome.
A Christmas Craft for Adults will be Tuesday,  at 6 p.m. at the library. Supplies to make an ornament and refreshments will be provided. Registration deadline is Dec. 6.
A Beginner’s Internet class will be held Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at the library. Learn how to use a mouse, navigate a webpage and surf the web. Registration deadline is Dec. 11.

Open house
Jay County Historical Museum will have a Christmas Open House on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Trees have been decorated by historical society board members.
Anyone wanting to donate items for the Helping Hand Food Bank may bring non-perishable food, paper and hygiene products to the museum.

Math award
Fort Recovery High School senior Adam Fullenkamp was awarded the Honda-OSU Math Medal Award, a partnership between Honda of America Manufacturing Inc. and The Ohio State University.
The award is given to top senior mathematics students in high schools near Honda operations in central Ohio for their achievements in mathematics courses throughout high school.
Fullenkamp was given a pewter medal, a plaque and a $100 gift card and a $3,000 scholarship opportunity at Ohio State’s College of Engineering for the 2013-14 academic year.

At Minnetrista
A Gingerbread Family Workshop will be held Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon at Minnetrista in Muncie. The cost is $25 and includes gingerbread, icing and candy for the family to create a gingerbread house. Registration deadline is Dec. 10. To register, call (765) 282-4848.[[In-content Ad]]
