Business Roundup
Coca-Cola Enterprises, Portland, will have an open house and plant tours today.

Enlarged
Swiss Village Retirement Community will expand living areas for residents with 26 units.
The retirement community is working on a new building and will begin renovating the original building, first built in 1968.
The assisted living units will ranged in size from about 450 feet to 750 feet and include kitchen, living room, and bathrooms attached to the bedroom. The new arrangements would allow married couples to live together in the units.
GM adds jobs
General Motors Co. has announced that it will add 700 jobs to its Allen County assembly plant by April.
The positions are expected to be filled by GM workers who have been laid off from other factories.
Jobs also are being added at GM assembly plans in Fairfax, Kan., Lansing, Mich, and possibly stamping plants and engine-casting plants.
A total of 3,000 jobs are expected to be added.
The jobs are being added because sales are improving and inventories are declining.
Work begins
Work on the Brevini Wind building in Muncie is underway.
The business is expected to employ 450 to create gearboxes for energy-generating turbines. Production is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2010.
Steel construction on the facility has begun on the structure, which will be located near the existing Brevini USA headquarters in the Park One/332 business park, at I-69 and Ind. 332. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held in November.
