Concert set for Saturday
Taking Note
Jerry and Judy Cole from Farmland will perform a free concert on Saturday, Aug. 7, at 7 p.m. at Dunkirk Webster-Depot Park. The couple will sing folk, blues and country. Also Buttnz and Bowz, clowns from Dunkirk, will entertain with balloon art.
The concert is sponsored by St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary and hosted by St. Mary’s Church. Concessions will be available at 6 p.m.
Photo contest
Swiss Heritage in Berne is sponsoring the photo contest “Capturing Our Heritage Photo Contest.” Photos may be submitted in the categories Faith, Family or Community and must be taken in Adams County.
The preferred size is 8 x 10 and color or black and white photos must be submitted in a black or white mat or on black or white cardstock. Entry forms may be downloaded from www.swissheritage.org and entries should be mailed to Swiss Heritage Village and Museum, 1200 Swiss Way, Berne, IN 46711. Entries must be received by Sept. 3.

Limberlost concert
Musicians are invited to perform at a Bluegrass Jam on Sunday, Aug. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Limberlost State Historic Site, 200 E. 6th St. in Geneva. Musicians may perform solo or jam with others.
Visitors should bring lawn chairs. The Limberlost cabin and gift shop will be open. Bluegrass Jams are sponsored by Limberlost Construction Co., Downing and Glancy Funeral Home and Case and Quart. For more information, call Randy Lehman at (260) 368-7428.
Wetland tour
Loblolly Marsh Wetland Preserve in Bryant will have a tour of the Limberlost Swamp on Saturday, Sept. 4, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Participants will learn the history of the swamp and what the future holds for the endangered swampland under Indiana’s Department of Natural Resources.
