Couple celebrates
Former Portland residents Charles and Lynda Bruns, Groves, Texas, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married on June 29, 1962, in DeQuincy, La., and lived in Portland until 1974. Linda had taught school in Geneva and at Governor I.P. Gray High School.
They are the parents of Joey Bruns (wife: Melissa), The Woodlands, Texas, Kevin Bruns (wife: Sharon), Liberty, Texas; and Stephanie Hennigan (husband: Randy), Metairie, La. They also have four grandchildren.
