Couple celebrates 50th (04/14/07)
Johnny J. and Patricia Kay Hopkins, 136 E. Adams St., Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
Johnny married Patricia Kay Ames on April 14, 1957, with Hershel Burkett receiving the couple's vows.
Johnny retired in 2002 from Local 103 Operating Eng. in Fort Wayne.
They are the parents of Diane McLaughlin, Lebanon, Ohio; Randy Hopkins and Becky Coleman, both of Portland; and Ronnie Hopkins, Bryant. They have seven grandchildren, one stepgrandchild; three great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
The couple is vacationing in Florida and plan to celebrate at a later date.[[In-content Ad]]
