Couple celebrates 50th (05/09/08)
Mr. and Mrs. James Gaylord Barnhart, 909 E. Votaw St., Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
James married Irene Reiche on May 9, 1958, at St. Mary's Church in Medora, N.D.
They moved to Portland three years ago to be near their children.
James is semi-retired and works at the Helping Hand Food Bank in Portland and Irene is retired.
They are the parents of John Barnhart and Kelly Hoffman, both of Portland. They have one grandson.
