Couple celebrates 50th (05/18/07)

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Schwieterman, 370 Siegrist Jutte Road, Fort Recovery, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 5:30 p.m. at Mary Help of Christians Church in Fort Recovery.

Bernard and the former Hilda Prenger were wed on May 16, 1957, by the Rev. George Kraft at St. Johns Catholic Church in Maria Stein, Ohio.

They are the parents of Jim Schwieterman, Coldwater, Ohio; Rich Schwieterman, Versailles, Ohio; Mrs. James (Karen) Reinhart, Fort Wayne; Robert Schwieterman, Hunson, Ohio; Bernard G. Schwieterman, Kettering, Ohio; Mrs. Gary (Marjorie) Hess, Mrs. Rodney (Lori) Acheson, Mrs. Joe (Kim) Grube, all of Fort Recovery. They have 32 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

An open house will be held at 8 p.m. at the church undercroft. The couple requests that gifts be omitted.[[In-content Ad]]
