Mr. and Mrs. Kenley Barcus, Pennville, celebrated their 50th anniversary on Sept. 22 by renewing their vows at Union Chapel Church, west of Bryant. Pastor Jonathan Fightmaster officiated at the ceremony and the Rev. Herschel Ray Burkett (who officiated at their wedding in 1957) assisted. A reception followed.
Kenley married Mabeline Bower on Sept. 27, 1957, at Union Chapel Church.
Mabeline retired from Jay County Farm Service, USDA, after 26 years and Kenley retired from General Motors, Marion, after 30 years.
They are the parents of Mrs. Ron (Tina) O'Dell, Pennville, Steve Barcus, rural Portland, and Kevin Barcus, rural Redkey. They have seven grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
