Couple celebrates 60th (02/21/08)
Longtime Jay County residents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rodgers, 10754 West 300 South, Dunkirk, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today.
Walter married Margaret Vivian (Glascock) Blakely on Feb. 21, 1948, at the First Friends Church in Marion with the Rev. Murray Johnson officiating.
Margaret is retired from Kerr Glass in Dunkirk. Walter is a semi-retired farmer and is affiliated with MJS Mortuaries. He also retired from Indiana Glass in Dunkirk, where he worked from 1967 to 1980.
They are the parents of Ronald L. Blakely, Gary W. Rodgers and Dennis R. Rodgers, all of Dunkirk. They have six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
