Former Portland residents Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Barger, Greenville, Ohio, are celebrating their 60th anniversary today.
Marvin married Bernice (McGahey) on Feb. 28, 1948, in Portland.
Bernice is a homemaker and Marvin retired from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio.
They are the parents of three children, Scarlett, Lugene and Doug. They have 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
