Mr. and Mrs. Everett Leatherman, Albion, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Albion.
Everett married Grace Armstrong on Nov. 27, 1947, at the home of the bride's parents in Portland, with her grandfather Pastor Samuel A. Armstrong receiving the couple's vows.
Grace was owner and operator of Albion Printing and Photo Service and Everett was superintendent of the Water and Sewer Dept. for the town of Albion for many years. They were part owners in a Ford dealership in Albion, a construction business and a rental home business and currently own Maple Courts, Inc., a mobile home park in Albion.
They are the parents of E. Duane Leatherman, R. Dean Leatherman, Mrs. Keith (Debra D.) Adkins and Dennis L. Leatherman, all of Albion, and Daniel T. Leatherman, Fort Wayne. They have 10 grandchildren.
