Couple celebrates 60th anniversary
Former Redkey residents Larry and Susannah Phinney, of Danville, Ill., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday.
Larry and Susannah (Mullen) were married on Sept. 5, 1953, by the Rev. Charles Garringer in Elizabeth, Ky.
They are the parents of seven children, Leslie Kennedy (husband: Rick), and Melanie Ogle (husband: Carl), both of Paris, Ill., Scot Phinney, Chicago, Tod Phinney (wife: Barbara), Albuquerque, N.M., Russ Phinney, Collinsville, Ill., Leigh Smith (husband: Russell), Danville, and Gene Phinney (wife: Lori), O’Fallon, Ill. They also have 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
