Couple celebrates 62nd (08/23/07)
Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Harrod, 214 E. Arch St., will celebrate their 62nd anniversary on Sunday.
Dale married Mary Kestner on Aug. 26, 1945, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Seymour. The couple have been Jay County residents for more than 50 years.
Mary retired as a registered nurse at Jay County Hospital and continues to volunteer at the hospital.
Dale retired from the Jay School Corporation where he was a music teacher for 42 years. He is a 50 year member of the Portland Lions Club and played the organ at Asbury United Methodist Church, Portland, for 38 years where he has been designated as "organ emeritus."
The couple are the parents of Gregory Dale Harrod, Muncie, and the late Richard Kestner Harrod. They also have two step-grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
