Couple celebrating
Raymond and Karen Bishop, 1131 Wayside Place, Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration on Saturday, Nov. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. at West Walnut Street Church of Christ in Portland.
Raymond married Karen Kay Lamborne on Nov. 22, 1961, at United Brethren Church in Portland.
Karen retired from the Jay School Corporation and Raymond retired from Portland Forge and is employed at Walmart in Portland.
They are the parents of Mary Ann Bryan (husband: Kevin), Woodstock, Ill.; John Bishop, Indianapolis; and Angela Parrott (husband: Ryan), Muncie. They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The couple requests that gifts be omitted.
