Couple marks 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Oakland M. Roberts, Portland, celebrated their 50th anniversary on Tuesday, March 16.
Oakland married Marguerite L. Hehr on March 16, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fort Recovery.
Marguerite retired from the Jay Garment Company where she served as Final Auditor.
Oakland worked for several years as production manager for local corporations before retiring as District Director of Norris Foods in affiliation with Hardee’s restaurants.
They are the parents of Oakland Roberts Jr. and Vickee Schoenherr, both of Portland. They also have six grandsons.
The couple will celebrate with immediate family members.
