Couple marks 60th
Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gillum, 2063 North 550 West, Portland, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Dec. 8.
Howard and Helen Pauling were married Dec. 8, 1944, at the First Methodist Church parsonage by the Rev. Dale C. Beatty.
Helen sold Tupperware for 27 years and Howard retired from Sheller Globe. He had also worked for former Jay County surveyor Richard Davidson.
The couple are lifelong Jay County residents. They are the parents of Sam Gillum, Keystone; Sharon Thompson and Mrs. Dave (Sue) Shrock, both of Portland; and Cindy Courtney, Bluffton. They also have seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
