Couple to celebrate
Marvin and Berta Murphy, Monterey, Tenn., are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday.
The couple was married on July 17, 1961, in Overton County, Tenn. and moved to Dunkirk in 1961, where they resided until 2002.
They are the parents of a son, John Murphy (wife: Lesa) of Crossville, Tenn. They also have two grandchildren.
An open house will be held Saturday, July 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Family Life Center in Monterey.
