Couple to mark 60th
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin E. Weatherhead, 511 E. Water St., Portland, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday.
Calvin married Emma Edna Border on Aug. 22, 1944, in Lebanon, Pa. They have lived in Jay County for 41 years.
Emma is a homemaker, and Calvin retired from the banking business after 25 years and farming after 30 years.
They are the parents of Terry Lee Weatherhead, Muncie, Robert Allen (wife Bonnie) Weatherhead, Ridgeville, and Mrs. Dane (Sheila) Snyder, Portland. They also have 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A reception for family and friends will be held Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at AmeriCare Living Center, 200 North Park St., Portland. The family requests that cards be sent in lieu of gifts.[[In-content Ad]]
