Longtime Jay County residents Wilbur and Helen Stoner, 105 W. 12th St., Portland, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with family on Saturday at White Linen Hall.
Wilbur was married to Helen Locker on June 1, 1935, in Salamonia by the Rev. H.G. Perry.
Helen is a homemaker and Wilbur retired as a superintendent at Sheller-Globe in Portland in 1976, after 41 years of service.
They are the parents of Larry Stoner, Hartford City, and Mrs. Larry (Kay) Gleeson, Carmel. They also have five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The couple also celebrated with the homemaker’s class at Asbury United Methodist Church on Sunday.[[In-content Ad]]
