Couple to mark anniversary

James and Lula Sumner will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, March 2, with an open house from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Redkey Community Center.
James married Lula (Birchwell) Wilson on March 2, 1963, in Viper, Ky., with the Rev. John Pence officating.
Lula retired from Jay Garment in 1991 after 26 years and James retired from N. & W. Railroad in 1984 after 18 years. They attend Faith Evangelical Church, Redkey.
The couple are the parents of Elaine Lewis (husband: Delbert), Gwendla Anderson (husband: Bob), Paulette Wilson,  Betsy Craig (husband: Duane), and Carrie Hambrock (husband: Rick). They also have 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
