Crestview, Lincoln defeat Fort

CELINA, Ohio - The Fort Recovery High School softball team slipped to 8-6 Saturday, falling 3-0 to the Lincolnview Lancers and 10-1 to the Crestview Knights.
The Indians had seven hits against Lincolnview, but couldn't push across any runs. Marissa Brunswick finished 2-for-3 with a double.
Against Crestview, Kendra Brunswick led the Tribe with two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Olivia Thien scored Fort Recovery's only run.
Andi Sutter took the loss in both games, despite holding Lincolnview without an earned run in the opener.
Baseball loses pair
FORT RECOVERY - The Indians couldn't make a 7-5 lead stand up, falling 11-7 and 15-3 Saturday to the Arcanum Trojans.
Fort Recovery (1-7) was up by two runs heading into the final inning of the opener, but gave up six in the top of the seventh and went scoreless in the bottom of the frame.
Jason Pottkotter had two hits, including a triple, three runs and two RBIs, but he also took the loss allowing three runs on two hits and two walks in one inning. Cody Fiely added three hits and three runs, and Nate Fortkamp had two hits and two RBIs.
Fortkamp also singled and scored a run in game two, when the Indians were limited to two hits.
A.J. Backs suffered the defeat as he gave up eight runs - six earned - on nine hits and a walk. He struck out four batters.

FORT RECOVERY - There wasn't much Fort Recovery was able to do to slow down the Milton-Union Bulldogs Saturday as it fell 17-10 and 15-2.
Taylor Guggenbiller went 2-for-3 with a double, four RBIs and a run in the opener, and also walked and scored a run in game two. Kendra Stammen scored three times in game one, and Becca Tobe had a hit and a run game two.
Tobe suffered the loss in the opener, and Melissa Lochtefeld was the losing pitcher in game two. The Indians committed 10 errors on the day.[[In-content Ad]]
